Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be working within a team of three members who are responsible for the financial control and processing for ABRSM and its subsidiary ABRSM (Publishing) Ltd. You will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate and timely records of income received and sales accounting transactions. You will maintain accurate records of transactions for bank accounts, which will include the ABRSM Main account and other multi-currency accounts. Preparing bank and control account reconciliations will be a key duty of the role and you will support the Financial Controller with the production of quarterly accounts and year-end accounts. You will liaise with various contacts across ABRSM, which will include senior members of staff when dealing with queries and requests and being a main point of contact with ABRSM’s bankers to resolve queries on the organisations bank accounts.

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential for you to have previous experience working within a finance function where you have reconciled control accounts and have had experience of reconciling a high volume of bank accounts. If you are actively studying towards either your (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) qualification or are qualified by experience but have the practical reconciliations experience, you will be considered. You will have Intermediate Excel skills which will include VLOOKUP and SUMIF functions. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally, with an ability to effectively interact with important contacts to provide financial support. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are key requirements for this role.
